Courses in Hotel Management:
There are short term Certificate courses in hotel management along with Diploma and Degree courses. A large number of Post graduate courses are also available.
Eligibility:
Basic Eligibility for a certificate, diploma or bachelor’s course in Hotel Management is most of the institutes in Maharashtra is a 10+2 with a minimum of 50 % marks.
The certificate courses in hotel management last from six months to a year, diploma courses continue from one year to three and a half years while bachelor’s courses go up to four years.
A two hour long entrance test is held for interested and eligible candidates wherein their skills with the English language, Reasoning, General Science and General Knowledge are put to test. This common entrance test is held every April.
In general, right after the entrance test is a group discussion or an interview wherein the candidate’s character traits and confidence are tested.
This pattern is followed by both government and private institutes.
