The much-dignified and noble profession of teaching involves moulding a student’s present and future life with maximum care and precision.  Teachers are known to create as strong an impact on a child’s mind as his/her parents. A teacher plays the role of a guiding force in students’ lives and eventually helps them decide on a career that best suits them. Along with a sound educational background, the job also requires patience, perception, wisdom and cool intellect.

A Diploma in Education (D.ED), Bachelor of Education (B.ED) and a Masters in Education is available for those looking to pursue a career in teaching. The concourse of teaching is also extensive with different levels. As a result there are plenty of specializations available in this field. Pertaining to your qualifications you can opt for teaching at the nursery and pre-school level, primary level, middle school level, high school level, university level, at institutes, at special schools and many others. Various proficiencies are required at various levels of teaching. Apart from the respect and admiration that a teacher earns, a steady career and annual vacations are added perks in the field of teaching. Besides the districts of Pune and Mumbai, there are several institutes in the state of Maharashtra that impart teacher’s training courses.

Eligibility:

To teach at the nursery level, you require the completion of a 10+2

To teach at the middle school level, you need to have acquired a TTC or a Teachers Training Certificate or an equivalent with a 10+2
