Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth

On the 8th of January 1997, the Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya was officially initiated. It was founded as an educational institute for improving the research, development and teaching of Hindi so as to speed up its development as an international language. This university is situated next to the Wardha–Nagpur national highway near to hamlet town of Umari, is the place known as Panch –Teela.

Since its inception the Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya has been continually working towards bringing academic brilliance in the field of Hindi language and its promotion.

The university has schools for language, translation, literature, interpretation, and culture. Post graduate courses and research programmes are usually provided by the university. The university is mainly a residential university.

Presently, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya offers the following programmes:

Below mentioned short term courses are offered in Hindi and other regional languages:

  • 1 year Diploma Course in Hindi as an international language
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Spanish
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Telugu
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Tamil
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Marathi
  • Six Months Orientation course in Hindi as an international language
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Malayalam
  • Eight Weeks summer course in Hindi as an international language

Short Courses in the following foreign languages are also given:

  • Six Months Diploma Course in German
  • Six Months Diploma Course in French
  • Six Months Diploma Course in Japanese
  • 1 year Post Graduate Diploma Courses are also accessible in the, dalit adhyayan, media infomatics, vishwa bhasa Hindi, anuvaad aur pryojanmoolak Hindi bhasha,
  • Sanskritik Paryatan Prambhandhan, Vyapar Samskriti Prambhandhan

Post – Graduate (M.A.) Courses are available in the following subjects:

Women studies, translation technology, mass media and communication, Hindi (language technology) Ahimsa and peace studies.

  • M. Phil courses are also available in the following: translation technology.
  • Hindi (comparative literature): ahimsa and peace studies, translation technology.
