Bharati Vidyapeeth is one of the largest networks of educational institutions in India. The University which is located in  Pune, was established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam. It was founded in the year 1964. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University started officially functioning in 1996. There are 32 constituent units of this University, which include Colleges imparting education in Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurved, Homoeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Architecture etc. Bharati Vidyapeeth has been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
